 The rampant rumors this morning that the screen legend was on life support were untrue.  Her rep gave an exclusive statement to Entertainment Tonight:

“Ms. Taylor is fine,” her management tells ET. “The rumors which began in England about her health are dramatic, overstated and untrue. Her hospital visit was precautionary. She will be returning home shortly. At present, she is surrounded by family, friends and fabulous jewels.”

Word is she is in a hospital in Los Angeles.

Now that is good news.

Based on the goo-goo eyes she would give him during Dancing With the Stars, I’m finding this one very hard to believe.  She always had a stupid grin plastered on her face every time she looked into his baby blues.  They started living together really quickly into the relationship, but she says no to marriage? 

Perhaps the fact that she is in the middle of divorcing her former husband Joseph Reitman, may be the reason she said no.  That makes sense.  I think.

Derek Hough is 23, and Shannon is 34, so with youth on his side (not that she is old) he has the energy to pursue this until he exhausts the poor girl into submission!!  A source close to Derek said:

“He’s very persistent and is used to getting his way.”

That would make Julianne Hough her sister-in-law.  When asked if Shannon would one day be her brother’s wife, Julainne replied:

“I have no idea.”

They are a cute couple, and Derek seems like a cream puff, but Derek, baby, you are way too young to get married.  Happiness to both.

The auction has ended and it looks like the ball went for $7,300 !!!

The proceeds are going to Jesse’s nonprofit organizatin JSAK which is in support of snowboarding athletes and their olympic aspirations.

Maybe they can teach Shayne Lamas a thing or two. Meow.
