People Magazine broke the news that the Samantha Who?star is battling breast cancer.  Christina Applegate’s rep:

“Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening.” ”Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery. No further statement will be issued at this time.”

She will appear alongside Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, and Charlize Theron in the benefit Stand up for Cancer.

We have all been touched by someone who has battled this dreaded disease, haven’t we? I really love Christina Applegate, I think she is so fiercely talented, and I love the sitcoms she has produced and starred in over the last number of years.  I particularly like Samantha Who?  If you haven’t already watched it, you might like it.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Christina Applegate.
