His publicist has confirmed that the 40 year old tennis champ asked for his 24 year-old girlfriend’s hand in marriage:

“I’m happy to confirm to you that Alessandra Meyer-Wölden and Boris Becker were engaged yesterday with a small circle of family members,” Irene Kessler said in a statement Monday.

Becker proposed to her in Sardinia, Italy.  How romantic is that?  The two have known each other since she was a child.  Her dad was Becker’s manager who died in 1997 at the age of 56.

Becker, who owns 3 Mercedes Benz’ dealerships (ca-ching),  admits to fathering a daughter, Anna (b. 22 March 2000 in London, UK), by Russian-African model Angela Ermakova.

The child was conceived in a closet at Nobu, a Japanese restaurant where Ermakova was working as a waitress, after Becker had a fight with his wife and was admittedly drunk.  Sweet.!!!!!

On 9 July 2001, Becker agreed to pay Ermakova $5 million.  His wife got a $14.4 million settlement, their condo on Florida’s exclusive Fisher Island, and custody of their sons, Noah and Elias.
