Michael Phelps eats 12,000 calories A DAY

I really wanted to title this post: Michael Phelps is a Pig, but I thought that would be disrespectful, and considering all that he has accomplished, I didn`t feel it would be right.
But can you freaking believe that. If any of us even ate half that we would be huge. 12,000 calories a day. I still can not believe that. Here are his usual days of food intake:
Breakfast
-
three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise

two cups of coffee
-
a five-egg omelet

a bowl of grits

three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar and
-
three chocolate-chip pancakes
Lunch
- a pound of enriched pasta
- two large ham and cheese sandwiches slathered with mayo on white bread
- 1,000 calories worth of energy drinks
Dinner
- a pound of pasta
- an entire pizza.
- 1,000 calories worth of energy drinks
The reason Phelps really loads up on the carbs at dinnertime is that he needs the energy for his five-hours-a-day, six-days-a-week regimen.
I am still in shock over this. To put it into perspective, the average person should be consuming between 1200 – 2000 calories a day, depending on age, activity level, etc. So you can see how freaking huge his intake is!!!
But, hey, obviously it`s working, lol.
