I almost fell over when I read that.  Ricky Martin’s rep confirmed:

“The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care,” said the statement. “Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.”

Something tells me he will be a great father.  He comes across compassionate and he has been doing a lot of charity work for prevention of sexual exploitation of children.  In April he was in Washington to help establish an anti-trafficking hotline in his prevention work.  He is the founder of The Ricky Martin Foundation which advocates the well-being of children.
