Hayden Panettiere on her father’s arrest
Hayden Panettiere tells Extra:
“It [the incident] was blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his fifteen minutes of fame,” the “Heroes” starlet tells “Extra.” “My family is wonderful — so very happy. We’re all great.”
For a 19 year old to have to deal with this publicly can not be easy for her. She must be left humiliated, and, really what other statement is she going to make? I’m not trying to imply anything other than she wants it dealt with quickly, to the point and move on.
What do you think of her statement?
You can watch the video clip where she makes this statement here.

Fabulous Fixings Around The Web

When it comes to domestic violence situations there are certain phrases that are heard from the victim(s) as well as the victimizer and “blown out of proportion” is one of these. There is also “making a mountain out of a mole hill.” and “making too big a deal out of nothing.” To hear her use one of these makes me think that she is under the “spell” (for lack of a better word) of the alleged abuser in the home.
You are not incorrect with that. It certainly makes one wonder, doesn’t it? It’s just an unfortunate situation for any woman to be in, much less someone her age.
