Kate Moss is worth her weight in gold – Literally

Marc Quinn has paid the highest compliment a woman could get: he has immortalized Kate Moss in a statue made in solid gold.
The statue is said to weigh 110 pounds (probably around what she weights) and worth $2.8 Million. He has named the statue a very fitting “Siren”.
The British Museum in London has claimed it to be the largest solid-gold statue since Ancient Egyptian times. The statue features 34-year-old Moss in a yoga position, making it less than three feet tall.
The guy has got it big for Moss saying: “I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who’s the ideal beauty of the moment,” Quinn said of using Moss for the museum’s Statuephilia exhibition, which will premiere Oct. 4.
This isn’t the first time Quinn featured the supermodel in his work. His Sphinx sculpture also is of Moss doing yoga, but was cast using bronze.
