Johnny Depp Playing Guitar
Johnny Depp played guitar for the band The Kids at the Sheila Witkin Memorial 2 concert in Pompano Beach, Florida last night.
The Sheila Witkin Memorial is in honor of a woman affectionately known as “Mom”, who revolutionized the South Florida rock music scene in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Sheila was highly respected among the local music community, not only for her talent as a manager, but as a friend who would open her door to anyone at anytime. She also ran “The Agency” in Hollywood, Florida, as well as the “Tight Squeeze” band. In 1988 she joined Sony. She passed away April 6, 2006.
The proceeds are donated to the Dan Marino Foundation which funds programs for children with special needs.
Johnny Depp went to high school in the venue where the concert was held.
