This Deer Delivered By Caesarean After Mommy Killed By Car

Omg, when I saw these pictures it broke my heart. This poor (or lucky I suppose) little muntjac fawn was delivered by Caesarean section (3 weeks before its due date) after its mom was killed by a car.

When born, it was only 6 inches tall and weighed 500 grams which is a little over a pound. He has been named Rupert by the staff at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire. He remains in an incubator and has recently opened his eyes. At first they were afraid he wouldn’t make it, but it is looking like he will!

Alessandra Ambrosio Loses Her Tie-Dyed Dog, Offers Reward

Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is offering a reward for information that leads to the safe return of her beloved Maltese terrier Buddha that recently went missing leaving the model “devastated”.

A friend has posted a reward notice online. It reads: “Alessandro Ambrosio’s”4 pound maltese named Buddha got out and is lost. He is tie dyed (sic) blue and green and is lost please help in anyway possible. She loves her dog so much and there is a large reward if someone returns him. He was lost in Beverly Hills.”

The message adds, “If anyone finds a Blue and Green little dog please call 310 396 4400 or email Helpfindbuddha@gmail.com.”

Why do people dye their dogs? I don’t understand that. They aren’t pieces of clothing or toys.

Christina Applegate Did Nude Photoshoot Before Surgery

Christina Applegate had her photo taken nude just before removing her breasts so that she could remember what her breasts looked like.

Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year (a disease her mother has battled) and decided on removal of her breasts in the hopes of stopping the disease from spreading.

She recently told Oprah:

“I did my first and last nudie photoshoot at home. I made sure that I have close-up photographs of them from every angle, so I can kind of remember them.”

She will eventually have reconstructive surgery, and in the meanwhile has had “expanders” put in her chest. She explains:

They keep expanding over a few months until they take those out and put in your implants… They have this strange little thing that they insert in there and they keep filling it up with saline to expand behind the muscles.”

She talks about the change she sees and feels:

“You’ve got scarring and there’s a lot of things you’re missing… and the shape is not the same and it doesn’t feel the same and it’s hard to carry your purse and there are so many limitations.
“It’s sad. I cry at least once a day about it because it’s hard to overlook it when you’re standing there in the mirror.”

The upside:

“I don’t have to wear a bra… ever again.”

Janet Jackson Cancels Two Shows

After falling ill with a mysterious illness during a sound check, Janet Jackson is following doctors’ orders and resting despite having checked out of the hospital. Her Boston, Massachusetts and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania concerts on Wednesday (October 1) and Thursday (October 2) respectively have been cancelled. Her concert is set to resume Saturday, October 4 in North Carolina.

Jackson checked into the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada on Monday night just before her show and checked out hours later. The illness and details surrounding it have not been disclosed.

Brace Yourselves, Angelina Jolie Is Coming To New York

Oh. My. Lord. I can just imagine the heightened frenzy that will take place. Angelina Jolie is expected to attend the New York Film Festival next week for the premiere of her movie, Changeling. Universal Pictures has confirmed Jolie is due on the red carpet next Friday, October 10, 2008 with director Clint Eastwood and co-stars Jeffrey Donovan, Michael Kelly and Amy Ryan. Like anyone will even notice them now. Okay, maybe Clint, but that’s it.

This will be her first time back in the U.S. since she gave birth to her and Brad Pitt’s twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in the south of France in July.

It is unlikely Brad Pitt will attend as he is in Germany with the hundred or so other kids they have the kids and is filming Inglorious Bastards there.

Victoria Beckham’s Pixie Cut Knocked Jennifer Lopez Out

That explains the awkward moments between Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez at the Marc Jacob fashion show. Seems Victoria baby kept this little nugget a secret from Jennifer Lopez. How ingenious. Wile-E-Coyote would be proud:

“I was so shocked. I arranged to meet up with her the day she had it done. She didn’t tell me what she was doing, so I turned up and there was she was with this incredibly short black hair. I was knocked out.
“I told her she looked like Audrey Hepburn. I think she’s such a great girl.”
