As he was preparing for his film festival appearance on September 5 (TIFF) a fire broke out at the condo comlex beside the Park Hyatt hotel.  Management decided to evacuate all patrons leaving Pitt on the street.

His security team sprang into action ensuring there was not a media fuss over it.  According to an eyewitness:

“It was total chaos. His security team immediately decided to evacuate Brad to avoid any possible threat. He was surrounded by eight security men and four policemen – it was crazy. It was as if Brad was the president!”

Brad Pitt, and all other guests were allowed back into the hotel two hours later.
