According to reports Chace Crawford is in talks to be the new face of Versace, replacing Patrick Dempsey.

The rumours were fuelled when he was seen attending New Yorks Fashion Rocks, the MTV VMA’s and Blake Lively’s 21st birthday celebration wearing the designer’s labels.

Versace released this statement:

“We have been working hard to develop our relationship with Chace – and that is all we can say on the subject. Patrick Dempsey is contracted with us through Spring/Summer 2009. It is undetermined who will replace him at this time.”
