One week ago, Adam Goldstein, along with Travis Barker survived a horrific crash that killed 4 others.  Lt. Jason Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department told the Associated Press on Wednesday that it was “divine intervention that they got out” and added that “They should be commended for being able to get out and keep their heads together.”

After taking a bus back home, Goldstein updated his facebook profile thanking his fans:

“Adam Goldstein is the luckiest guy alive,” 

His rep released the following statement:

“While he is deeply saddened by the events he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends world wide,” his rep said in a statement on Friday. “We ask that you continue respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.”

She doesn’t need any more in that headline than simply Dame Elizabeth Taylor.  An icon of icons.  A legend in the true sense of the word.  Seventy Six years old and look how glamorous this woman looks.  Dressed to the nines, and dripping in jewellery.

When I saw the pictures of her at last night’s Macy’s Passport Gala held at Barker Hangar in Los Angeles last night, it brought a tear to my eye.  This woman has suffered through a great portion of her life with many physical ailments, not to mention disappointments and heartache, and nothing keeps her down.  She is still full of fire, full of spark.  She is Dame Elizabeth Taylor.

Anne Hathaway and castmates attend a screening of  ’Rachel Getting Married’ hosted by the Cinema Society and Lancome at the Landmark Sunshine Theater September 25, 2008 in New York City.

She looks happy, and beautiful and like she is having a fabulous time.  Something tells me she has a wicked sense of humor that people wouldn’t necessarily associate with her. On top of that she appears to be a genuinely nice, down-to-earth kind of girl. 

Additionally, I think she has great potential to play a psychotic killer in a movie.  Nice people always repress anger.  And then when the day comes that your anger finally erupts and you chase your husband down the street with a fire axe because he asked you to pass the salt at dinner, but he asked you in that way (you know which way I mean, right ladies.  am I right), people always judge.  Judge, judge judge.  We all have our “days”.  Am I right?  Oddly enough my husband makes his own dinner now. 

Playing psycho will give her an outlet.  I’m just saying.

According to a friend  of Reese Witherspoon’s the Oscar winning actress is just dreading the promotional tour for their film Four Christmases:

“Promoting a movie involves long hours, and she’ll have to spend a lot of time with someone who gets under her skin,” the pal tells OK!.

“Reese is professional — she’ll grit her teeth, fake a smile and pose for pictures — but she’s not looking forward to it.”

The actress considers Vince Vaughn to be “the biggest child I’ve ever met!”

It is no secret how Reese feels.  Last year while filming she was quoted as saying:

“I said to him one day, ‘People can’t talk as fast as you think.’ You can’t keep up with him. But I feel like I’ve been in training — Vince Vaughn training!”

Far be it for me to point out the obvious, and I love my husband, but aren’t most men childish?

Word is that George Clooney is ‘wooing’ , no, not Sarah Larson, but Lisa Snowdon.  Just prior to her appearance on the British TV’s version of Dancing With The Stars, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ he sent her a text saying “good luck”.  She hadn’t heard from him in a while and was pleasantly surprised.

Upon seeing her performance his next text was to the effect of just “wow”.  Rumor has it he is going to fly in to watch her perform live.  A source told the Daily Mirror:

“Lisa and Brendan are dancing the salsa this weekend and all eyes will be on them – including George’s.

The source goes on to say:

“He has promised to send a bouquet to her dressing room and the talk backstage is he may make a surprise appearance in London in the coming weeks.   “Now that he’s single, gossip is spreading like wildfire that he wants to woo Lisa back.   “Obviously everyone is desperate for Lisa to stay in the competition – if only for a glimpse of George!”

Gee, I wonder if people will vote for her simply to, hopefully, get a glimpse of George Clooney.

George and Lisa dated for a year around 2000, split up, and reconciled in 2004.
