Tina Turner hit the tour circuit Wednesday at the ripe age of 68!!  She performed the first of 36 dates in north America in front of an audience of 18,000 fans in Kansas City.  The last time she toured was 8 years ago on her farewell world tour.

She performed some of her big hits including Steamy Windows, River Deep, What’s Love Got to Do With It and Jumping Jack Flash.  And she did it in Tina style:  showing off her legs in high heels!!

A critic wrote the following about the legends performance:

Turner will turn 69 in November, but after watching her whip a sold-out arena into a frenzy, that number loses all context.

“This show was mind-boggling in many ways. For one, it was the first of the tour. Initial outings usually suffer a few obvious bumps and mishaps. Not this one. Second, she is still in her 50th year of live performance, yet she still has the endurance and durability of performers – men included – much younger than she is.”

What a shocker, huh?  Race car driver and former Dancing With The Stars champ Helio Castroneves is facing tax evasion charges according to TMZ.   Apparently he owes more than $5 Million during a 4 year span. 

The 33 year old Castroneves was indicted Thursday along with a relative and his attorney.  They are expected to surrender and appear in federal court tomorrow morning. 

Those are some serious charges.  When he was on DWTS did you get the impression he liked Julianne a little too much?  He seemed to go ga-ga over her, which although understandable, he forgot he was engaged.  Turns out that engagement ended shortly after with his fiancee stating he stopped contacting her (or something to that effect).  That’s bizarre behavior.  And now this.

Manhattan Federal Judge Loretta Preska has thrown out a lawsuit against Heidi Klum and the makers of Project Runway in which Cynthia Rodriguez and Elizabeth Zwiebach claim their story was “strikingly similar” to Klum’s Project Runway. 

In addition to suing Klum the duo were also suing Disney, Disney’s Miramax Film Corp, Miramax founders Harvey and Robert Weinstein, their new venture Weinstein Company, and NBC Universal stemming from December 2005.

They claimed to have sent a 40 page outline for the show entitled American Runway, to Klum’s agents after first approaching them about it in July 2003.  Klum’s show aired in December 2004.

The judged dismissed the lawsuit saying that although there were some similarities between the two shows there were more than enough differences to lead her to believe the idea wasn’t poached.

Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu and director Kenny Ortega are in Spain for the premiere of High School Musical 3.

I have never seen any of the High School Musical movies.  Are they good?  I think Vanessa and Zac make a cute couple, even with the rumours about him.  I never realized how amazing his eyes were.
