The beautiful 32 year old star of the hit Pushing Daisies graces the cover of PageSix Magazine this weekend.  She has the screen siren from the 40′s look about her, doesn’t she?

She talks about life with her partner, David Thewlis and being told she could never have children.

On being told it would be difficult for her to have children:

“Knowing that, there was one time that we were perhaps not as careful as we should have been, and bang-o– I was pregnant.  I thought, well, so much for ‘it’s going to be difficult.’ I was 28, and it was the best thing ever.”

On her relationship with partner David Thewlis:

“He thinks it’s something really romantic, us never having gotten married. It doesn’t mean we’re not committed, but we don’t need to change anything because things are quite good. Plus we have a child, which is the most bonded thing you can have, anyway.”

On why she’ll never give in to Hollywood’s stick-thin mold:

“I’m not going to come to L.A. and be anorexic.  I’ve still got shape.  I eat healthily because that’s how I was brought up – I never reach for Cocoa Puffs in the morning.”

On her onscreen kiss with a woman, in 1993, on the English soap Brookside:

“It caused a major uproar because it was the first ever lesbian kiss on [prime-time] television. It was quite risky then, but it sounds funny now to think what a shock it caused.  It wasn’t even this huge, big snog…though maybe tongues were slipped.”

On her favorite American actresses:

“I like all the old-school ones… Natalie Wood, Edie Sedgewick, Audrey Hepburn.”

David Beckham was in London promoting his GO3 food range at Wembley Stadium.  They could be cheese sticks for all I know, but then I would have written a tag line like:  David Beckham wants to give you cheese.  And that would have taken on a whole new creepy meaning I don’t even want to think about.

Do you think they’ve missed anyone?

Lisa Bonet and her boyfriend, Jason Momoa are pregnant with their second child.  The couple already have 14 month old daughter Lola.

Bonet has 19 year old daughter, Lola, from her previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz. 

She tells People:

“I’m seven months and I feel great. I’ve had a tremendous amount of energy, which is lucky, because I have a 14-month-old.”

And she doesn’t want to know the gender of the baby:

“When my friends ask me, I say, ‘I really don’t know. I love the mystery and I trust the mystery about it. It adds a whole other component at the end.”

Bonet stars in that new series Life on Mars which is on Thursday nights.  IMDB describes it as: A present-day car accident mysteriously sends a detective back to the 1970s.

I watched one episode and it’s not bad at all.  Have you watched?

Who hasn’t grown up watching the Brady Bunch, right?  So to hear of Maureen McCormack’s battle with cocaine, her sexcapades and her revelations about a family history of syphillis, it’s mind-boggling.  Not judging, just saying people tend to have a pre-conceived idea of who someone is, and how they are living their life based on what we see on TV.  Life doesn’t always imitate art.

On her family history of Syphillis:

“My grandmother died in a mental institution, she had contracted Syphilis from her husband…he committed suicide a week after.  My mother contracted the disease from my grandmother,” Maureen tells hosts Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy. “Writing the book was really cathartic.  I feel like I don’t have to hide anymore.”

On loving cocaine the first time she tried it:

“I became totally addicted for five years. It was awful.  They would call me “The Hoover” because of how much cocaine I would do,”

On her life spinning out of control:

“I was 18, 19 and 20 when I had each abortion,” she recalls. It shows how careless I was.  It shows what drugs did to me and how far I went. I was not aware of the things going on in my life. Playing Marsha, I always had to be perfect… but I had so much going on underneath.  I always felt I had to be perfect for the public. Now I know I don’t — I can just be me.”

Her rock bottom came when she auditioned for Raiders of The Lost Ark:

 ”It was one of the worst auditions of my life,” she says.  “I was asked to meet Steven Spielberg. I was up high and I had missed my meeting with him. I was totally spaced out… been up for days. He offered me an orange…he probably thought I was sick.”

It’s great to see that she has managed to purge and beat her demons.

I haven’t had breakfast yet and now I’ve gone and lost my appetite.  Add Peter Cook to the list of celebs (in his case pseudo-celeb) who have a sex video.

PageSix confirms that they have seen the stills from this video and it gets better:  his teenage lover, Diana Bianchi, was unaware the tape was made.  What a stellar stand-up kind of guy, right?  The video was shot at his architectual office and shows them in the heat of the moment and also shows her performing a strip tease for him with him holding onto a certain body part of his own like a freak.

Bianchi’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said she may sue Cook over the video:

“We are now going to review, and begin weighing our legal options, for Diana,”

That’s pretty funny coming off of his 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters in which he tries to clear his name by telling people he’s not the monster they are making him out to be.  Call me crazy, but a decent guy wouldn’t do what he has done.

I don’t think there is anything this guy does that should surprise us.
