Dancing With The Stars’ Weighty Issue

Louis van Amstel and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are complaining about Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer packing on some weight over the summer. Louis says:
“If you want to gain weight, it’s your prerogative,” “We all put on weight because there was no summer tour,” he adds. “But you have to deal with the consequences.”
And then he kept talking:
“[People] look at this show to be inspired and think, ‘If I just work hard enough, I can look like that,’” he says. “If they watch someone who’s dancing her butt off and she’s still heavy, they can be discouraged. “You have to take responsibility,”
Maksim’s take:
“When I first saw these women this season, I said, ‘Guys, you know the camera adds 10 pounds,’” he says. “‘You have to do something about this.”
I don’t think Cheryl looks any different this season than previous seasons. I know when I watch these two girls I am amazed they can move like they can despite having more weight than a very lean dancer does. My reaction is one of amazement (and I don’t mean that in a catty way at all).
All the dancers put on weight and by the end of the season they are much slimmer, with the exception of course of Edyta and Karina.
What do you think of these comments by these guys, and how do you think it will affect these girls and their relationships with them?

Fabulous Fixings Around The Web

Louis is Gay and Maks thinks he’s Gods gift to women. What else would you expect those idiots to say. As for women using the female dancers for inspiration to lose weight, Marissa inspired more women than anyone who has ever been on that show, and she was a big beautiful woman. All I can say to these guys is, Get a life and join the real world.
