Last week, Britain newspaper The Sun, released a promotional picture of Katy Perry holding flick knife to her face the day after a 16 year old Britain boy, Joseph Lappin was stabbed to death outside a youth club in Liverpool.  It outraged many including Richard Taylor, the father of 11-year-old Damiola Taylor who was stabbed to death in 2000.

Katy has posted a picture on her website of her with a spoon responding with:

“I do condone eating ice cream with a very large spoon.”

She also addresses The Sun:

“Dear Sun, You deserve a time out. Your “journalistic” approach has half the soul of the National Enquirer. Shame on you.”
