She explains the scratch occurred during a scuffle with her on again/off again boyfriend, Jamie Hince (he sustained a black eye):

“We had a fight yesterday about what to do for Christmas. We had a bit of a scuffle and I was wearing a chunky ring, which caught him right in the eye. It’s all okay now though.  “We fight and we have our ups and downs – like anyone, really.”

Um, no I don’t think a lot of people have physical scuffles with their partners.  I certainly would never.  I can’t believe she is justifying this.  I hope she wants better for her daughter.
