The much anticipated new U2 album is to be released in early 2009!!  No Line On The Horizon is their 12th album and first since 2004′s How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. 

The album will be released in the U.K. on March 2 and released in North America the next day.  The album has been in the works for two and when asked about its sound, The Edge says:

 “It’s a record of two halves. One half is songs that came virtually fully-formed out of sessions we did with Brian and Danny.

“Then the other half is material we’ve kicked around a while and went through the usual cycle of versions and incarnations.

“It sounds like a U2 album but it doesn’t sound like anything we’ve done before and it doesn’t really sound like anything that’s happening at the moment.”

The Brian and Danny they refer to are longtime collaborators Brian Eno and Danny Lanois. 

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb sold more than nine million copies worldwide, and picked up eight Grammy awards, including album of the year and best rock song for lead single Vertigo.

I can not wait for this next album.  I find their music to be timeless.  Are you a fan of U2???

Lindsay Lohan’s girlfriend Samantha Ronson has been hospitalized because of exhaustion and stress it has been reported. 

She called doctors to her home in Los Angeles and was subsequently admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.  According to a source:

“She’s been suffering from depression and from lack of food and sleep. Lindsay Lohan has been helping her through this as she has been through it herself two years ago.”

TMZ has reported that although she was admitted to hospital it is “not an emergency and definitely non life-threatening”.

Kate Winslet was in talks to play fashion mogul Vivienne Westwood in an upcoming planned movie on her life story.

Kate has scrapped plans as it has been alleged that Westwood was not happy with Kate as choice to play her.

A source told the British newspaper The Mail on Sunday:

“Kate’s people are saying she was never formally committed to the project but there are whispers Dame Vivienne didn’t want Kate playing her. In fact Vivienne doesn’t seem keen on the film being made at all.”  Westwood has already spoken of her disdain for the movie project, insisting she “doesn’t know what is happening, but hopefully they (Univeral) will drop it.”

 

I love that Marcia Cross is so hands on with her kids and they seem to bring her sheer joy.  Here she is with one of her twins (in all honesty I don’t know which is which)
