Saturday February 21, 2009 a select group of about 100 AMC Theatres in the U.S. and Canada will have all five Oscar nominated films showing for your viewing pleasure back to back.

To see all 5 movies will cost you a mere $30.  That’s pretty cheap considering how much one ticket is normally.

The schedule is like this:

• 10:30 a.m. Milk,
• 1:05 p.m. The Reader
• 3:45, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,
• 7:15,  Slumdog Millionaire
• 9:45,  Frost/Nixon

Emily Blunt and HIMYM’s Jason Segel are set to  be joining Jack Black to do a movie based on the fictional book Gulliver’s Travels. 

Both Emily and Jason are said to be in negotiations with 20th Century Fox.  Jack Black will play a ‘travel writer who gets lost in the Bermuda Triangle and washes up on an island of tiny people.’  The film will be a modern day twist on the book.

The movie could pose a scheduling conflict with Emily’s other character role of the Black Widow in the Iron Man sequel with Robert Downey Jr.

The Gulliver’s Travel movie is scheduled to start filming in March 2009.

Nobody is really surprised by that are they?  Brad Pitt explains:

“We haven’t found any reason to stop yet,” he says. “It’s chaos at times, but there’s such joy in the house. I look and there’s our boy from Vietnam and our daughter from Ethiopia, and our girl was born in Namibia, and our son is from Cambodia, and they’re brothers and sisters, man. They’re brothers and sisters and it’s a sight for elation. 

“We have the capability to give a child a home, and let me tell you it’s selfish, too, because the reward has been extraordinary,” he adds.

As for how the twins have settled into the family unit:

“One seemed simple, and it’s just double the fun. It’s surprising how soon their personalities have started emerging,”     “But it’s really important that everyone gets their individual time as well as group time together.

“We were four before, and we got into our rhythms and it worked. Then someone new comes in, and it discombobulates the movements for a moment, but then you settle in again and it just all works,” he goes on. “Everyone’s pretty well integrated. It’s not the first time new kids have come in.”

As for how The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has changed his outlook:

“I walked away realizing that time is short,” he says. “I don’t know if I have a day or 10 days or 10 years or 40 years. Am I halfway or am I close to the end? I don’t know, so I have to make sure I don’t waste those moments in any kind of pettiness or bitterness or laziness, and that I surround myself with the people who are most important to me.

“Angelina and I are together because we can enhance each other,” he adds. “I don’t want to waste any time because I’m with company I really, really love.”

Guy Ritchie has allegedly decided not to fight for custody so that he can keep the family together.   Madonna has won permission to temporarily keep the kids she had with Guy (Rocco, 8 and David 3) in the U.S.

A source tells the Daily Mirror:

“He has always put Rocco and David’s future ahead of his own and that is why he has relented. He is adamant that he wants to keep the boys and their sister together. He does not want to tear the family apart from each other. Rocco and David will still see a lot of them.

“He is already making plans to visit the children in America and looking at the possibility of them having holidays in England.”

Here Guy Ritchie, Madonna and the kids are seen leaving the Kabbalah centre in New York.  Lourdes is looking more and more like Madonna, isn’t she?

Kelly Clarkson has made U.S. chart history with her single, My Life Would Suck Without You, when it rose from 97 to the top of the Billboard chart after selling 280,000 downloads in its first week of release.

As a result her record label is releasing her album All I Ever Wanted a week early.

The song is her first US number one since her debut single, A Moment Like This, in 2002.

A clip of the video was aired on American Idol this week but an internet leak occurred the day before.

The album hits stores March 9.

Britney Spears’ father, Jaime, is seeking restraining orders against former joke of a manager and loser extraordinaire not to mention ginormous douchebag Sam Lufti and even bigger douchebag and opportunist extraordinaire Adnan Ghalib claiming harrassment to Britney.  He is also seeking out a restraining order against lawyer Jon Eardley who has challenged the conservatorship.  Britney’s father and Andrew Wallet (who is co-conservator) allege that all three men:

“are now working in concert to disrupt the conservatorship with utter disregard for Ms. Spears’s health and well being,”

Apparently Britney’s phone records show:

“numerous telephone conversations” and text messages with her ex-manager Sam Lutfi and former boyfriend, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.

“[Britney] innocently informs [Ghalib] of her destinations and that he then arranges for paparazzi to meet and film her to his financial benefit,” Jamie Spears says. “[He] is harmful to Ms. Spears and to her recovery”

On December 27 & 28th Sam Lufit text messaged Britney’s hairdresser with:

“I’ve done everything I can to free her from this. Very close to getting her free now.”

Yeah…keep living in that delusional world Sam.  You da big man.  Let’s examine:  when you were on the scene Britney was at an all time low.  With you out of the picture she is flourishing and better than she has ever been.  Yes, you are right, you would be rescuing her from a horrible sitation, wouldn’t you lambchop?

The restraining orders forbid Lutfi, 34, and Ghalib, 36, from contacting Spears or coming within 250 yards of her, her property or family members, according to the L.A. Superior Court papers.

This matter goes to a hearing on February 23.

First of all, Britney needs to change her phone number and stop all communications with Ghalib.  He’s not her friend.  At all.  just saying…..

I zero use for the type of people in this world that actually find enjoyment out of or put in the effort to try to destroy or hurt another person, especially a person weaker than them, or a vulnerable person. 

To take advantage of someone like that shows lack of character and personally I think people like this should all be put on an island in the middle of nowhere and forgotten about.  And trust me when I say…I’m actually censoring myself here.
