I’m conflicted with this story.  Simon Cowell has more money than some small countries, so to be lavish when it comes to building his mansion is not a surprise.  But a tanning salon? Hmmmm I’m a bit surprised.  But then I’m not.  See?  Conflicted.  I can totally see Ryan Seacrest doing this, but Simon?

The American Idol judge who is worth an estimated $188 Million is said to be sparing no expense building his dream mansion worth $21.7 Million.  He paid $11.9 Million for the house 2 years ago!

He is even building a bedroom for his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour.  Says a source:

“Simon has the master suite but Terri still has her own room and walk-in closet. She says she plans to stay over, even though she has her own place less than five minutes away. They are still really good friends.”
