Upon her return from the Caribbean, Amy Winehouse has been charged with assault stemming back to a September 2008 incident in which  the incident took place at the End Of Summer Ball in London’s Berkeley Square.  The person is alleged to be a fan of the troubled singer.  Geezuz if she treats her fans this way I wouldn’t want to get on her bad side.

The 25 year old singer will appear in court later this month.  A rep for London’s Metropolitan Police says:

“The singer has been charged. She will appear on bail at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday 17th March charged with common assault.”   Without naming the person assaulted they went on to say:  “It is connection with an incident in Berkeley Square on the 26th September 2008.”

Her rep did not have any comment.

Brad Pitt met with  Democratic Whip James Clyburn  and America’s Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi today.  He is in Washington, D.C. with his partner Angelina Jolie, who is shooting new thriller Salt in the U.S. capital, and he’s using his time there to make a political statement. A spokesman for Pelosi’s office states:

“They will be discussing (Pitt’s) Make it Right, a project launched in 2007 to construct affordable and environmentally-sustainable housing for low-income residents of the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans who lost their homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina.”

Pitt has been a big part of the rebuilding process in New Orleans, with his project providing funding for a number of re-housing schemes in the area.

According to TMZ:

The L.A. County District Attorney has just charged Chris Brown with felony assault and making criminal threats, also a felony.

The charging documents name “Robyn F.” as the alleged victim.

Brown will be arraigned today at 3:30 PM in downtown LA.

A spokesperson for the D.A. tells TMZ he could face a maximum of four years and eight months in prison
