Drew Barrymore @ ‘Grey Garden’s’ Premiere
Drew Barrymore is joined by castmates Jessica Lange and Jeanne Tripplehorn for the HBO Premeire of ‘Grey Garden’s’ in New York. Imdb describes this movie as:
Based on the life stories of the eccentric aunt and first cousin of Jackie Onassis (both named Edith Bouvier Beale aka “Big and Little Edie”) raised as Park Avenue débutantes but who withdrew from New York society, taking shelter at their Long Island summer home, “Grey Gardens.” As their wealth and contact with the outside world dwindled, so did their grasp on reality. They were reintroduced to the world when international tabloids learned of a health department raid on their home, and Jackie swooped in to save her relatives.

Fabulous Fixings Around The Web
Is it just me or does there seem to be inordinate publicity for this HBO movie? I realize HBO does have a certain reputation and cachet, but I don’t recall any other made-for-cable movie being pimped as much as this one. Ever since the Oscars, where Drew and her co-star Jessica Lange arrived arm in arm, it seems we’ve been hearing about this one.
I hope it lives up to the hype. S’all I’m sayin’.
I think you are right….not usually the type of movie I would see, but I’ll be curious to see Drew’s acting in this for sure.
