SUTHERLAND SURRENDERS TO POLICE FOR QUESTIONING
Kiefer Sutherland has turned himself into New York police for questioning over an assault claim against him.
The 24 star allegedly headbutted Proenza Schouler fashion designer Jack McCollough at a Met Costume Institute Gala after party on Tuesday (05May09) night.
The actor arrived at the NYPD First Precinct on Thursday afternoon (07May09). He was handed desk appearance ticket for an upcoming arraignment date.
Sutherland is currently under a probation order in Los Angeles relating to a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI).
He spent 48 days in jail but could be sent back to prison if he is found to have violated the terms of his release by fighting with McCollough.
Sutherland could be charged with misdemeanor assault.
