Michelle Pfeiffer stars in a new movie, ‘Cheri’, in which she is an older woman involved in a love affair with a younger man.  According to imdb.com:

A romantic drama set in 1920s Paris, where the son of a courtesan retreats into a fantasy world after being forced to end his relationship with the older woman who educated him in the ways of love.

She talks about how turning 50 was not that big a deal, but an opportunity to reflect and be grateful for life’s blessings.  Yeah.  I’m hoping that will be my take on it too.  Considering I don’t look like Michelle Pfeiffer I’m thinking my experience will be different.

The film will be released in the U.S. on June 26, 2009 with a limited release.

It has been announced that Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson in a Deadpool spin-off film to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  The popular wise-cracking Deadpool film is in active development.  According to MTV.com the film will be a:

“complete exploration of this unique character — his origins, his emergence as the Merc with the Mouth”.

The character Deadpool was born Wade Wilson and like fellow mutant Wolverine, saw his future irrevocably changed by enrolling in the shady Weapon X military programme.

Writers for the Deadpool film are currently being sought.  X-Men Origins:  Wolverine killed the box office making $85 Million in its opening weekend. 

Have you seen the movie?  Personally I think any film with Ryan Reynolds in it is a good thing.
