Russell Brand was at the Barnes and Noble bookstore at The Grove in Los Angeles on the weekend signing copies of ‘My Booky Wook, A Memoir of Sex, Drugs and Stand-Up’.

Russell is about to start filming his latest movie, ‘Get Him To The Greek’ in Las Vegas and apparently is staying at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino and has requested the famed Apex Suite.  The suite comes with a stripper pole, glass covered shower, cocktail bar and home cinema system.  

I can just imagine the memories that suite will hold after Russell has stayed there!

Here is Susan Boyle from 25 years ago (at the age of 22) singing ‘The Way We Were’  at Motherwell Football Club’s social club in Scotland.  The footage was shot by Gerry McGuinness, 61 who recalls at the time:

“She was so shy, but she was also very attractive back then–she turned a few heads when she came in. She didn’t win the contest, though,” he said.

“I didn’t recognize Susan as the girl on my video when I first saw her on Britain’s Got Talent until a relative called and asked me if I still had the tape.  “It’s great she is finally getting some recognition.”

Leighton Meester is seen here filming scenes for her new thriller ‘The Roomate’ in which she plays Sara.  According to imdb.com the filming was to begin in May, 2009 so these could be the very first shots of her filming.  The plot:

College student Sara finds her safety jeopardized after she’s assigned to a dorm room with a new roommate, Rebecca.

Lady GaGa took her concert to Philadelphia, Pennyslvannia last night in her true GaGa fashion.   She recently almost collapsed on stage during a performance in Georgia and has been ordered to take a month off of work.  A source told The Sun:

“Stefani has been working relentlessly since last summer. She has criss-crossed the globe on numerous occasions promoting her album… and the pressure has now started to get to her.

“At a recent show in Atlanta she nearly collapsed on stage the day after a particularly wild night out. Her management have spotted the warning signs and do not want her going off the rails.

“They’ve scrapped all her commitments in August to give her time to get her head straight.”
