A Manhattan club owner is threatening to sue Beyonce because of a cancelled concert she planned to do.  She was scheduled to perform at ‘M2′ with the owner agreeing to pay $200K for the gig.

People lined up in advance for tickets, and the owner Joey Morrisey already shelled out $100K in preparation of the show.  Her people cancelled on Wednesday:

“They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they wouldn’t have time to do the kickoff party,”

Beyonce offered to hang out for an hour on Sunday to make up for it, but that’s not good enough according to Morrisey:

“I mean, we sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations. What good does her showing up for an hour do me? They’ve been totally unwilling to agree to another show.”

Morrisey is planning a million-dollar lawsuit claiming his bar suffered a:

“loss of reputation” [in addition to the sunk cash.] “We had an overwhelming response from our clubgoers, who were lining up to buy tickets and tables. This will come as a great disappointment to all of them,” he claims, adding, “If Beyoncé cancels and doesn’t give us a new date, this hurts our credibility in night life.”

According to PageSix the gig was on Beyonce’s website but was taken down and her Sony reps had not responded to PageSix’s emails.

Angelina Jolie and Rose Mapeno are pictured at the UNHCR’s commemoration of World Refugee Day at the National Geographic Society. Goodwill Ambassador Jolie presented awards to winners of the Annual World Refugee Day Poster Contest in Washington DC.

She and Brad Pitt made a $1 Million donation to help refugees flee the Taliban in Pakistan.  World Refugee Day is Saturday, June 20.

Sacha Baron Cohen cracks me up.  I love how he is dressing appropriately for each country he premiere’s Bruno in.  Here he is as a bull in Madrid, Spain.   He invited the hunky matador models back to his hotel to party after the premiere.   I forgot to add the bull is anatomically correct.  But how does Sacha pee in that outfit?

Poor Robert Pattinson.  As he was trying to flee a bunch of girls on his way to the set of his latest movie, Remember Me (in New York) he got hit by a cab.   According to someone on the set:

“It’s been nonstop busy all day with people trying to get a glimpse of him, and the crowd goes nuts when they do see him,”

He wasn’t hurt seriously, and he was able to walk away but kids, this could happen again and may not have such a rosey outcome.  I have to wonder if these girls know what they are going to do with him should they be fortunate enough to catch him?  Maybe I shouldn’t ask that question.
