Grey’s Anatomy’s Doctor McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey is coming out with another fragrance in collaboration with Avon and it’s simply called, Patrick Dempsey 2.  Can you imagine if there were 2 Patrick Dempsey’s??  Why we could have a samich.

Anyhoo, last year he launched Unscripted and this November he is set to launch the second fragrance that is described as a mixture of mandarin, nutmeg, spiced wood accord and patchouli.  A 2.5 oz bottle with retail for $35.  Patrick Dempsey is totally worth that.  I would pay a lot more to get a whiff of that man, let me tell you.  His reason for the name of this perfume:

“It’s about the intimacy of two people and the strength you get in a relationship. I thought, why don’t we just go with ‘2′ and make this about being a couple.”

How HAWT is that?? And if that isn’t hot enough, the advertising campaign will feature he and his wife.

Alicia Keys sparkles (dazzles actually) at the BET Awards last night.  Both herself and Wyclef Jean received the Humanitarian Awards for their efforts to raise funds and awareness for issues around the world.  She is so wise beyond her years it’s incredible.

The O’Jays were also honoured last night with the Lifetime Achievement Award and they gave an amazing performance last night.

With the sudden death of Michael Jackson last week, the BET Awards switched gears and changed the show so that Michael Jackson was honoured. 

Joe Jackson attended the awards and was front and centre in the audience, so when Janet Jackson walked out on stage it had to be the moment of the night.  That is not to slight the other celebrities and performers, but it really was the moment of the night.   I can not believe how strong or brave she is to have been able to do that.  Get your tissues ready.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott along with their kids Liam, 2 and Stella 1 attended a charity event in Malibu and then headed off to the park for some family time.

The family of Michael Jackson issued a statement despite their obvious devastation with his untimely death:

“In one of the darkest moments of our lives we find it hard to find the words appropriate to this sudden tragedy we all had to encounter. Our beloved son, brother and father of three children has gone so unexpectedly, in such a tragic way and much too soon. It leaves us, his family, speechless and devastated to a point where communication with the outside world seems almost impossible at times.

“We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words. But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you – who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever”

Michael Jackson’s father, Joe, also issued a statement on behalf of Michael’s children Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II ‘Blanket’, seven:

“My grandchildren are deeply moved by all the love and support you have shown for them and their father, Michael Jackson.”
