Mariah Carey is set to perform at the Michael Jackson memorial being held tomorrow at the Staple Centre in Los Angeles and it is rumoured that she will be performing ‘Ill Be There’.  Also scheduled to participate:  Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Lionel Richie and Smokey Robinson.

The Jackson family’s publicist Ken Sunshine released this statement:

“This list is preliminary and subject to change. There will be no further information regarding the program.”

Also schedule to speak at the memorial:  Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson, Motown founder Berry Gordy, Martin Luther King III, John Mayer, Stevie Wonder and Brooke Shields.  Someone you won’t see at tomorrow’s tribute is Elizabeth Taylor.  Dame Elizabeth Twittered:

I’ve been asked to speak at the Staples Center,” she wrote Monday. “I cannot be part of the public whoopla. And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word.”

“I just don’t believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us,” she posted. “Not a public event.”

“I said I wouldn’t go to the Staples Center, and I certainly don’t want to become a part of it. I love him too much.”

Everyone grieves in their own way and sometimes that means privately.  I can’t imagine what she and his family will be going through tomorrow.

And by you, I mean the girls that throw themselves at him, trying to rip his clothing off and ram their tongue down his throat.   It seems Robert Pattinson is sick of all the chaos surrounding the set of Remember Me, that he is getting very homesick says a source:

“Robert is dying to get back home,” says an insider. “He’s so over everything. He’s overwhelmed by all the girls — they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he’s not used to that. Fans don’t do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he’s used to.”

All of the attention is causing him great embarrassment:

“He doesn’t understand why everyone is going so crazy over him,” continues the insider.  “He’s embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him. He’s afraid that if he gives a hand, they’ll take the whole arm. He’s being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn’t even look up anymore.”

While I think he is appreciative of his fans (afterall they are what keeps an actor employed), no guy likes a girl throwing herself (and I mean this literally) at him.

This past weekend brought out some couples looking happy and in love and another couple looking like they are just doing their grocery shopping, lol.  And that’s because they are just doing their grocery shopping.

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom look all lovey dovey and happy as they leave Taverna Tony in Malibu

Kelly Osbourne and boyfriend Luke Worrall leave the Dorchester after having dinner.  They both look very happy.

And then there is Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.  They are seen leaving Whole Food Markets after doing some grocery shopping, and while I realize having pappers snap your picture when you do something as ‘normal’ as grocery shopping can piss someone off, I still say they don’t look very happy.  Not saying it’s because they are together but I’m just saying.

And I’m not even going to talk about the pic where Justin is looking at some girl behind him (hello, Britney is that you?).

The very lovely Marcia Cross is seen out with her husband Tom Mahoney and two daughters Eden and Savannah.  It’s nice to see her husband who is looking healthy.  He was diagnosed earlier in the year with cancer.
