I think I finally figured out why I like Jason Statham so much besides the fact that he is a hot piece of man meat. 

He’s got just the right amount of crazy going on.  He also has that brooding thing that I believe represents a challenge to me.  Kind of like Lance Bass being gay represents a challenge to me.   But also that brooding aspect of him, to me, translates to being ’intense’ in certain *ahem* endeavours.  I’m just saying.

Stories like this make me think that to an extent celebrities, especially the likes of Gerard Butler become targets for people who have nothing better to do.  Maybe that is both unfair and harsh, but case in point:  Gerard Butler is on the New York set of The Bounty with his little pug Lolita, and a local (no disrespect to New Yorkers because I love New York so much and this isn’t about location) is walking his Greyhounds on Monday when the incident in question took place.

The local, Fred Varecka told Radar Online ‘that the actor struck one of his greyhounds, Mayfly, after Butler’s unleashed pug came over to check out the two pups Monday afternoon in Queens, N.Y.:

“My dog crashed into a fence before ‘yelping’ in pain,” Varecka claims. “I asked him: ‘What did you hit my dog for?’ But he just kept ranting and raving that our dog should be put down — it was unbelievable because the dogs never came into contact at any time.”

According to someone on the set that’s not what happened at all and that one of the Greyhounds:

“attacked Gerry’s pug. Gerry had to physically get in the middle of the two of them to protect the little dog. And then he quickly put a leash on his dog. As far as I know, they are exaggerating; Gerry is an animal lover and simply separated the dogs.

“Gerry is not going to respond to this because he knows he didn’t do anything wrong,” the source continues. “He’s devastated that these people are saying these things, he would never hurt another animal.”

I do believe Lolita should have been leashed for her own protection, but the Vareckas should have had more control over their dogs.  Gerard’s rep says of the situation:

“A larger greyhound repeatedly attacked Gerard’s small pug, so he separated them to protect both dogs.”

The Varecka’s filed a complaint with the local police department and NYPD spokesman Martin Speechley said of the incident:

“The victim states that the male’s dog was unleashed and charged at her dog. She stated, ‘Your dog should be on a leash,’ to which the perp cursed her out,” says Speechley, noting that this is not an offense that could result in an arrest. “They are claiming someone cursed at them.”

Gerard isn’t going to be interviewed by the police or charged with anything.  To be on the safe side Gerard Butler took Lolita to the vet (God I LOVE this man) and not only did he do the right thing by his own dog, he helped out a family in need:

“When Gerry was in the waiting room, there was a couple whose dog was really, really sick and to get further treatment they needed $3,000,” the source tells PEOPLE Pets. “Gerry overheard the situation and offered to pay and the dog is surviving because of this.”

That is so totally hot I’m beside myself right now.  Gerard needs to be thanked for his goodwill to four-legged creatures.  And because I’m in a generous, loving mood, I’m getting on a plane as we speak so that I can show my appreciation in person, and those of you who know me (and this blog) know exactly what I mean.  Thank God I got waxed today.  Enough said

I really wanted to give this post the headline:  ‘Are You F*cking Kidding Me’ but thought better of it.

I am not a mother.  I don’t know that I have to be one to understand the concept of unconditional love.  I feel it for my husband and my family (and of course my dogs).  But to say you are ‘proud’ when your son has been convicted of assault is, in my opinion, just shy of insanity.

Sometimes I think it isn’t men that hold women back a few hundred years but that it’s other women.  Women like Chris Brown’s mother who set the bar real low.  When you set the bar low, you will never be disappointed.  And hey, you just may be proud of your woman beating son.

Chris Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins has remained silent over her son’s arrest because the case was ongoing.  Now that the sentence was handed down she wrote this on his site.  I went to his site, but couldn’t find it and did not want to spend any time on there:

“I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for your continued support. I’m sorry I wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone as this case was on going. I can now say this has been the most painful moment in my entire life, but knowing that you were still standing by Chris’ side in his time of need made this a little easier for us.

Because of all your prayers God brought him through. I just want to say God has never failed me and never will. All moms and dads please stand by your children and pray for their goodness each and everyday.”

“I made a promise… I would never be ashamed of him no matter where I am or who I talk to. You see this whole thing isn’t about Chris, it’s about God. He wants to show all of you the goodness of him through Chris. Chris will be addressing all of his fans very soon. We love you so much and so does God.”

This isn’t about Chris, but about God?  I don’t think God was behind the beating Rihanna took. 

Even though she says it’s been painful, she says nothing of being disappointed by his behaviour (enter unconditional love).  So I ask you, mothers (and fathers) out there, tell me, would you still be proud if your son (or daughter) was guilty of physical assault on another?

I simply love Sandra Bullock.  She is as close to perfection as you can get in a person in my books.   She’s nice, smart, fun and drama-free.  But this outfit she is wearing at the ‘All About Steve’ premiere?  I’m not loving it so much.  But I will soldier on and not be scarred by this, and I will still love her like crazy, cuz  that’s how I roll.

The next best thing at this premiere is my future husband Bradley Cooper.  And no sign of that ‘Rene’ girl.   Thomas Hayden Church, Beth Grant, Jackie Johnson, Jillian Barberie Reynolds and Luenell also attending the Los Angeles premiere.

Chris Isaak is one of those men that gets better with age.  Although he was still handsome when he was younger, there is just ‘something‘ about him now that he has gotten older.  He goes on my list.

Here he is performing live at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.   I’ve been trying to find out if this man is married because he wears a ring on his wedding finger, but according to ask.com he is not and never has been. 

Also according to ask.com I have a snowball’s chance in hell of marrying Kiefer Sutherland (I think I actually heard some laughter in the background which is really kind of rude and unnecessary don’t you think?)  Ask.com is about to receive a very nasty letter of complaint for their very obvious misinformed answers.
