Matt Damon & Bono’s Philanthropic Initiatives

Both Matt Damon and Bono are in New York participating in different political causes.
Matt attended the Fifth Annual Meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative where he announced the new Water.org’s commitment of $2 million to provide 50,000 people in Haiti with safe water and sanitation over the next three years.
U2′s Bono attended the 2009 Appeal of Conscience Foundation Annual Awards where he is pictured with Dr. Henry Kissinger as well as Queen Rania of Jordan. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was honoured with the Appeal of Conscience World Statesman Award.
This foundation was founded by Rabbi Arthur Schneier in 1965, has worked on behalf of religious freedom and human rights throughout the world.
