Rihanna is said to be working with Jay-Z’s fragrance company, Iconic Fragrances LLC, to create her very own scent:

“I’ve been right there with a chemist mixing the formulas,” she said. “I wanted this to be the fragrance no man can resist – and it is!”

I’m a little surprised by that quote given the interview with Diane Sawyer.  I was kind of left with the impression that making her fragrance irresistible to men isn’t high on her list of priorities.

The fragrance will be promoted by Parlux Fragrances who market the perfumes of Paris Hilton, Queen Latifah, Jessica Simpson and Andy Roddick.  The company is thrilled to be working with Rihanna and has said her scent:

“make an indelible impression in the fragrance industry”

The fragrance is to be released next year and will supposedly bear her name.
