I’m all for equality, but to be truthful I’ve never been turned on by a man in a skirt, except of course for today.

It isn’t just any man in a skirt, it’s Gerard Butler and of course it isn’t just any skirt, it’s a kilt.  Did I mention it’s Gerard Butler??  Hmmm..now would be a good time to find out the truth about what men wear, or don’t wear underneath the kilt, yes?  I know I’m not the only one wondering this.

Gerard Butler returned home to Scotland to premiere the movie he produced and starred in Law Abiding Citizen.  How lovely is that?? What’s even more lovely is that’s his mom with him in the picture!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been working on a jewellery line together for the last year and will team up with Aspry to launch the line this week which starts at $525 for a silver baby spoon with a handle crafted to look like a serpent.  The line is inspired by snakes.  Interesting.

Money raised from the sale of the jewellery will benefit Angelina’s Education Partnership for Children of Conflict charity, which raises money for children affected by conflict and natural disasters.

WWD has quoted Angelina as saying in an email:

“These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place – to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”

The choice for a snake theme is due to the fact Angelina was given some jewellery with a snake on it during her pregnancy with Shiloh and considers snakes to be protectors of her family.  Uh-huh.

When I first saw these pictures I thought Hayden Panettiere looked like Olivia Newton John meets Debbie Gibson.  Do you like Hayden‘s new haircut?

Marion Cottilard and Penelope Cruz pose at the New York screening of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and I have to say I did not recognize Marion with her hair shorter and so straight.  Can we talk boots on Ms. Penelope Cruz?? How sexay are those??

Robin Wright Penn, who by the way looks fabulous with darker hair and since she got rid of that excess baggage, has the lead in this movie:

After her much older husband forces a move to a suburban retirement community, Pippa Lee engages in a period of reflection and finds herself heading toward a quiet nervous breakdown

Blake Lively plays the younger Pippa Lee in this movie written, and directed by Rebecca Miller and says of her love scenes with Alan Arkin:

“Well, I think it’s uncomfortable, laying in strategically placed clothes that are taped on your body, in front of some strangers. That’s always uncomfortable,” Lively admitted. She then added, “But, I was with Alan and Rebecca [Miller], and our wonderful D.P., and it was a very private set. We’re all actors, we’re all professionals and we all understood what was happening. Everybody is uncomfortable with those scenes. You’re never going to be comfortable being half-naked in front of anyone. But, it was fine. It was a short scene.“

Speak for yourself, Blake.  Give me a half-naked scene with Kiefer Sutherland and it wouldn’t be me that would be uncomfortable but those on the set watching me and Kiefer with our crazy monkey love moves, he he he.
