Gerard Butler Is ‘Awkward’ With Women
They say knowledge is power, and given that Gerard Butler is aware of ‘why‘ he has commitment issues, I have to think (because I am in denial) that is the first step towards him settling down with me. It’s just a matter of time, right??
Gerard tells German magazine Joy that being raised with an absent father is why he has issues settling down:
“I act very awkward when I am with women. Perhaps that’s because my mother brought me up alone. My father gambled away all our money and eventually went bankrupt. So one night our family had to flee head over heels to Canada. At that time my mother was five months pregnant with me. Shortly after my second birthday my father let us down. It is said that men who grow up without a father have a fear of commitment.”
Gerard ‘awkward’ around women? Why do I find that so hard to believe? I feel so bad for him and his family that he experienced that kind of chaos at such a young age 
He does admit he wouldn’t mind settling down and having a family:
“It’s about time. But a woman by my side would be very helpful in this project.”
Yes, Gerard, I agree. Please fill out the contact form on my site and we can get started on your project. I may need a surrogate but that’s just a minor detail we can worry about later.
And it turns out most of the rumours are untrue:
“It’s totally bizarre. Since I am considered in Hollywood to be a true womaniser people impute affairs to me all the time. Last year I was linked to ten different women! Only one of them was true.”
Of course now I want to spend the rest of the weekend figuring out all the women he was linked to and then try to determine who was the actual one he was involved with! Who do you think that woman is?

I think there was a lot lost in translation from German to English. LOL But he has said that of all of the entanglements attributed to him in the past year or so, only one was true and if that’s the case and I were forced to speculate, I’d have to agree with Holly. Most of the others don’t make any kind of sense.
