Yesterday American Idol winner Kris Allen, Sofia Vergara, Cat Deeley, Mark Burnett, Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki and my future husband Jeff Probst announced the nominations for the 2010 People’s Choice Awards which is one of the best award shows because it’s a mixture of all the genres and it’s a fun atmosphere.

I noticed that some of my favourite man meat is nominated:  Kiefer Sutherland, Gerard Butler, and Hugh Jackman!

As mentioned in my previous post, Twilight has been nominated in six categories (Best Movie, and Franchise, while its stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were nominated for On-screen Team and Movie Actor awards) while TV’s  True Blood has been nominated in three (TV Obsession and Sci fi/Fantasy Show as well as Anna Paquin receiving a nomination for  TV Drama Actress).

I love how the cast of Twilight Saga:  New Moon are in various parts of the world whipping fans into a frenzy for the November 20 premiere!  It seems like a safe bet to say the cost associated with this promotion will more than be recouped in ticket sales, yes??

And on top of that Twilight has received 6 nominations for the People’s Choice Awards (that post coming up in a bit).

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are signing autographs at Hot Topic in the Westfield Fox Valley Mall in Aurora, Illinois while Daniel Cudmore and Charlie Bewley sign autographs at Nordstrom and Hot Topic at the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey.

At the New Jersey signing they brought in Travis Harrison, Steve Schiltz, and Ashen Keilyn from the Hurricane Bells to perform.

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are in San Francisco at Nordstrums as part of The Twilight Saga:  New Moon tour.  I never really recognized how hawt Kellan Lutz is!! Damn.  He is fine.  I always knew Ashley was gorgeous, but he kind of escaped my man meat radar.  Perhaps I need a rest or a holiday or something because that is just wrong on many levels.

With any luck we will be seeing him run and leap about in future films:

“I have a great team and we’re really focused on me becoming that new action hero,”“I want to be Matt Damon. I want to be Jason Bourne and take over that franchise. I love doing stunts and shooting guns and doing fight scenes.”

I don’t think Matt Damon is quite ready to retire that franchise yet, but if it makes Kellan feel any better I want to find Matt Damon in my shower in the mornings.

Kellan will have to change his ways though according to what he told E! News:

“I go to the gym maybe once or twice a week for 45 minutes,” “I hate running. I eat whatever I want. I eat pizza all the time. I have a candy drawer.”

I’m trying not to hate him, but it’s a little difficult.

Is it me or does everyone look kind of awkward in this picture?  Maybe it’s jet lag or maybe it’s that Kristen Stewart is fed up with all the speculation about whether she is boinking Robert Pattinson or not?

The Twilight Saga:  New Moon stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner appear at the Paris photocall which (hopefully) means premiere pictures coming up.  Kristen looks very feminine and pretty in her dress, doesn’t she?

On a more pleasant note Robert tells Extra TV that he was at his prime during the filming of New Moon:

“That was the best shape I’ve ever been in my life. I was doing boxing constantly.”

And we will all have to be patient for the 3rd installment of the Twilight Saga:  Breaking Dawn:

“I think it’s pretty much inevitable. But it’s still a relatively long way off. I mean, I think it’s going to be probably end of next year before filming.”

Some things are worth waiting for.

Shakira attended the Rolling Stone party in New York last night to celebrate the release of her ‘She Wolf’ album and her Rolling Stone cover.

If you didn’t watch Saturday Night Live over the weekend, Taylor Swift both hosted and was musical guest and killed it doing an impersonation of Shakira (at about the 1:16 mark).  It still cracks me up to watch.
