Ricky Gervais Will Make The Golden Globes ‘Watchable’
There is something about a funny, smart man that just does it for me. Ricky Gervais is such a man. In addition to the funny and smart thing, there is something I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe it’s that he’s self-deprecating or humble. But he to me, is SEX-AY. He plans on making the Golden Globes quite memorable:
“Over the three hours, I imagine my tie’s going to come off and I’ll get drunker and drunker,”"I don’t know what the last hour’s going to be like, but the first hour will be watchable.” ”They said I could turn up and say what I wanted and get
drunk!”
And there will be no dance numbers on Ricky’s card:
“I’m going to certainly not do anything cruel or distasteful, but I think gentle ribbing,” he explained. “Anyone who’s younger and thinner and richer and more attractive than me. I’m not going to do any sort of shtick. I’m not going to do pre-records or a dance number or rehearse with anyone. I’m going to plan what I’m going to say. But I’m going to be more relaxed. I want to host it a little bit more like someone from the Rat Pack would host it - playing the room, a little bit more off the cuff, roasting a few of the A-listers”
I can’t wait (but I’m a little biased) !! Do you think Ricky will be good?? The Golden Globes take place January 17 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
