Kiefer Sutherland is shown here arriving at the David Letterman studios where he will be on tonight (thanks for letting me know Ursula!).  When I see that lucky assistant carrying his outfit, it makes me want to seek her out and work out an equitable deal to take over her job.  And by equitable deal I mean duct-taping her to the chair in my sound-proofed basement.

His jeans are really doing it for me.  I would carry anything for Kiefer Sutherland.  And I mean ANYTHING.

GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) announced its nominations for the for the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards which will take place in New York on March 13, 2010, in Los Angeles on April 17, and in San Francisco on June 5.

Some of the movies and television shows nominated include:  A Single Man, Precious, Taking Woodstock, Glee, Mad Men, Modern Family, Little Ashes, RuPaul’s Drag Race, One Life to Live, The Joy Behar Show, Essence, Lady Gaga, Be Like Others, Primer Impacto.

Sex and the City’s Cynthia Nixon will receive the Vitto Russo award at the New York ceremony.   The award is presented to an:

openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for our community

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have vowed to help their friend Wyclef Jean raise funds for the victims of Haiti’s devastating 7.0 earthquake that hit yesterday:

“We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter”

The former Fugee member released a statement yesterday:

“Haiti today faced a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion, an earthquake unlike anything the country has ever experienced,”

“I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. Over two million people in Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now. The international community must also rise to the occasion and help the Haitian people in every way possible.”

In 2008 his charity Yele Haiti Foundation helped victims of Hurricane Gustav and other tropical storms that hit his homeland.  Other celebrities urging people to contribute to the fund:  Ashton Kutcher, Olivia Wilde, Selena Gomez and John Legend.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this tragedy.
