Critics Choice Awards [PHOTOS]

Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock both got honours for best actress at last night’s 15th Annual Critics Choice Awards with Sandra winning for her role in Blind Side and Meryl for her role in Julie & Julia.  Sandra said the win was an honour and went on to describe just how similar she and Meryl are:

“I love food and sex like Meryl. That’s how similar we are. You guys just didn’t notice it until now. Meryl is a good kisser”

The Hurt Locker received Best Picture and Best Director for Katherine Bigelow. It is the first time a woman has received the award. Ex-husband James Cameron was also up for the award for his movie Avatar, and gave her a standing ovation when she won.

Avatar won six awards including:  Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, BestSound and Best Action flick.

Dennis Hopper Files For Divorce

Dennis Hopper, who is battling cancer has filed for divorce from his 5th wife Victoria Duffy to whom he was married 13 years.  The 73 year old actor has been quietly battling prostate cancer since 2002.

He filed for divorce citing the typical ‘irreconcible differences’.  He is agreeing to spousal support for the mother of his six year old daughter Galen.

Tabloid rumours have been circulating that he is reaching his final days.

Our thoughts and prayers are with him.

David Caruso Films ‘CSI: Miami’

David Caruso is seen shooting scenes in Beverly Hills for CSI:  Miami where he has played Lieutenant Horatio Caine since 2002!

Rumour has it that Rob Zombie is directing this particular show which is to be aired on March 1st.  No sign of him in the pictures, but according to a few sources filming is underway which would make this the show.

When Rob was asked about directing an episode of CSI:  Miami he ‘expressed excitement‘ over putting his own ‘bizarre’ stamp on it since the show had ‘such an intense and unique visual angle on the classic crime drama formula.
