Liev Schreiber & Scarlett Johansson’s ‘View From The Bridge’

Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johnansson made their Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge at the Cort Theatre in New York last night where they were joined by cast mates, family and friends to celebrate:
- Jessica Hecht
- Naomi Watts
- Hugh Jackman
- Deobrra-Lee Furness
- Zachary Quinto
- Andrea Martin
- Annie Potts
- Christine Lahti
- Gregory Mosher
- Pablo Schreiber
- Jessica Monty
- Saundra Santiago
- Ellen Barkin
Scarlett plays a 17 year old girl in 1950′s New York and critics are saying her performance is ‘perfect‘. The New York Times’ Ben Brantley says of her performance:
“In recent years Broadway’s stages have been littered with dim performances from bright screen stars, including Julia Roberts and Katie Holmes.. By comparison, Ms. Johansson melts into her character so thoroughly that her nimbus of celebrity disappears.”
