Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have vowed to help their friend Wyclef Jean raise funds for the victims of Haiti’s devastating 7.0 earthquake that hit yesterday:

“We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter”

The former Fugee member released a statement yesterday:

“Haiti today faced a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion, an earthquake unlike anything the country has ever experienced,”

“I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. Over two million people in Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now. The international community must also rise to the occasion and help the Haitian people in every way possible.”

In 2008 his charity Yele Haiti Foundation helped victims of Hurricane Gustav and other tropical storms that hit his homeland.  Other celebrities urging people to contribute to the fund:  Ashton Kutcher, Olivia Wilde, Selena Gomez and John Legend.

This kind of cracked me up a bit when I saw the pictures of Olympic Skating Champion Dorothy Hamill and her daughter Alexandra posing with some Chippendale dancers in Las Vegas!  But then I thought why not?? I don’t think my mom would enjoy watching man meat take their clothes off, but bravo to Dorothy for having a girls’ night out with her daughter!

In January of 2008, Dorothy announced that she was battling breast cancer and went on to promote people eating a plant-based  diet to combat cancer and other diseases.  She looks great (albeit a tad uncomfortable in the main picture) and I hope that means she is cancer free!

“I have a sex scene in this film and that’s never comfortable. You think, ‘Oh, that’s going to be so awkward’. But this scene isn’t supposed to be a steamy one – it’s sort of tragic… I’m pretty much crying in it.”

When Simon Cowell officially announced he was leaving American Idol, he was reportedly offered $400 million (almost half of a BILLION dollars) to stay:

“I was offered a lot to stay but that wasn’t the reason behind going,” “I wanted to do something different. I wanted a new challenge.”

That new challenge is The X Factor Stateside (the U.S. version of the U.K.’s X Factor) where he will be judge and producer.  According to a friend:

“It’s a gamble – you don’t get an Oprah-style contract every day. But Simon is convinced he is doing the right thing”

The U.S. version of the X Factor is supposed to have American Idol former judge Paula Abdul as part of the show.

Milla Jovovich, husband Paul W.S. Anderson and their adorable baby girl Ever Anderson hit the Cold Water Park in Beverly Hills.  I love those cheeks!!

Milla’s movie, The Fourth Kind hits DVD & Blu-Ray in March where she stars as a psychologist who discovers frighting similarities amongst her patients in regards to alien abductions. It was released on November 6, 2009 theatrically and made $45.5 million domestically.

But not to worry, Milla has a few other projects that you will be seeing her in according to imdb.
