TMZ is reporting that President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized in New York with chest pains.  His office released the following statement:

“Today President Bill Clinton was admitted to the Columbia of NY Presbyterian hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest.

Following a visit to his cardiologist, he underwent a procedure to place 2 stents in one of his coronary arteries.

President Clinton is in good spirits and will continue to focus on the work of his Foundation and Haiti’s relief and long-term recovery efforts.”

“In 2004, President Clinton underwent a successful quadruple bypass operation to free four blocked arteries.

Hillary is on her way from Washington to be with him.

I know you’ve probably already heard of this today.  I stepped out only to come back and hear that Fashion designer Alexander McQueen, 40, was found dead in his London flat in the exclusive Green Park area.  A source:

“An ambulance was called at 10am today. Alexander was found hanging inside.”

It is said he was depressed over the death of his mother a week ago, and the day after her death wrote on Twitter:

“i’m letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumx”

A minute later he added: “but life must go on!”

On Sunday he wrote:

“sunday evening been a f****** awful week but my friends have been great but now i have to some how pull myself together …”

Model Kate Moss was a bridesmaid at his marriage to documentary maker George Forsyth in 2000 (they split a few years later).  A spokeswoman for Kate said she is:

“shocked and devastated at the tragic loss of her dear friend Lee McQueen”

His website has the following message:

On behalf of Lee McQueen’s family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family.

Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this.

Um, Wow is all I can say.  Heidi Klum has had four kids.  F-O-U-R.  With the last one being born in October.  All I can say is Seal is one lucky bastard.  The photos were taken from the book Heidilicious by Rankin.

30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin was rushed to Manhattan’s Lennox Hill hospital last night after a call to emergency believed to be by his daughter Ireland (pictured) saying the actor was ‘unresponsive‘.

When paramedics arrived, Baldwin agreed to be taken to hospital where he stayed for an hour and after examination was released.

Alec is set to co-host the Academy Awards next month with Steve Martin.  His condition is not known at this time, but a spokesman for Alec says the actor is fine.

John Mayer played in Nashville last night and apologized to his fans, the people he hurt and his fellow bandmates breaking down periodically:

“In the quest to be clever,” “I completely forgot about the people that I love and that love me.”

He then said that he had entered a world of “selfishness and greediness and arrogance.” He said that he thought if he could just be “speedy and witty and pull together as many fast words and phrases as I could, that I would be clever enough to buy myself another day without anybody pinning me down and saying, ‘You’re a creep.’

“I should have just given that up and played the guitar,” he went on. “I didn’t. So I decided I would try to be as clever as possible all the time, and I did that at the expense of people that I love and that feels absolutely terrible.

“I think it’s important that you know that everybody on this stage is here playing with me not because they condone what I say in any interview … they’re on this stage because they support myself as a possible future grown-up,” he continued as the audience cheered.

And maybe they see something that I don’t. So maybe I need to take a break from trying to be clever and spend a little time looking at what they see — because they’ve done an unbelievable thing by standing on this stage and standing by my side playing tonight.

“It’s just not worth being clever,” he said, adding: “I quit the media game. I’m out. I’m done. I just want to play my guitar.”

“You know when your mum says, ‘Don’t open that with your teeth?’ And you’re like, ‘Yeah right.’ Well, I was opening a bag of salad with my teeth and half my tooth flew across the room,”

“You could see the nerve. I had to keep my mouth closed whenever I went out in case the paps got a shot of it. Thankfully it’s fixed now but I learned my lesson,”
