Yesterday we saw Mischa Barton got her hair did and I guess she realized it’s always a huge mistake to cut your hair off all at once as opposed to gradually cutting it short so she returned to the hairdresser to get big-assed hair extensions put in.

Because that’s the smart thing to do, right?  If you haven’t screwed your hair up enough put extensions in.  Aren’t they glued to your hair or something equally outrageous?  They could be put on with pieces of tape for all I know.

Then I guess THAT wasn’t even enough for her so she got her hair did again.  Gee.  I wonder if she’s been smoking anything funny lately?  Just asking.

Which brings me to the most important question of all:  is anyone concerned about the two adorable dogs behind the two pinheads in the picture who seem oblivious to the fact the dogs are following them?  They don’t look like they are on leashes and they look like they are about to cross a busy street.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorcese, Sir Ben Kingsley, Mark Ruffalo, Patricia Clarkson and Michelle Williams attend the premiere of their movie Shutter Island in New York last night held at the Ziegfeld Theatre.  And you know it’s not a premiere unless it’s attended by Mick Jagger!

Leo spoke to The Insider at the premiere:

“It was a very intense filmmaking experience, and it was one of the more challenging roles I’ve ever taken on to date, and I’m really proud to show it. I’m really happy with this film,”

Director Martin Scorcese says of his fourth film collaboration with Leo:

“I get inspiration from him on the set,” “He’s an extraordinary kid because he’s growing and utilizing all his experiences and putting it right into his creative energy, and the results, I think, are wonderful.”

The film opens in theatres tomorrow.

Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas toss the football around in-between takes of their new film ‘Chasing Butterflies‘ which they are shooting on location in Santa Monica.

Do you know if all three were in a police lineup (and yes I know I have a great chance of growing six feet) and I was asked to identify who is who I couldn’t.  I sometimes can’t even remember the third brother’s name.  That’s how uninterested I am.  But I know they have a lot of fans so this is for you.  You’re welcome.

Penelope Cruz and Susan Boyle appeared on the French show Vivement Dimanche which translated (I believe) means something about Sunday (how’s that for translation?)  hosted by Michael Drucker.

Penelope is nominated for an Oscar in her supporting role in the musical Nine and has just been confirmed as a presenter at the award show which takes place on March 7.

Susan Boyle performed on the show and recently talked to the US TV Show CBS Sunday Morning about dealing with fame:

I was like a scared child before, but I’m not the scared person I used to be. I had to learn how to deal with a lot of publicity, and the glare of attention. And that takes a bit to get used to. But I got there in the end!”

Even though Simon Cowell’s friend Louis Walsh (and X Factor judge) has confirmed that Simon is engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy I still can’t believe it.  It’s Simon Cowell.  But Louis says:

“I’m very very surprised but I’m delighted he’s got engaged. Mish (Hussainy) is a lovely girl. They’ve been close for a long time but it’s only in the last few months that it’s got serious. She is fantastic for him, very grounding, which is exactly what he needs to keep that ego in check.“

The couple met on the American Idol set seven years ago where she worked as a make-up artist and have been dating for the past six months (picture of her below).  It is reported that Simon proposed to her on Valentine’s Day.  Awww, how romantic! First Russell Brand and now Simon Cowell.   I still don’t know if I believe Simon Cowell is engaged.
