Alexa Ray Joel Follows In Christie Brinkley’s Footsteps

Alexa Ray Joel will follow in mom Christie Brinkley’s footsteps by appearing in Prell shampoo ads, but the difference is (and the only reason she agreed to do it) the commercials will feature her music. Says Alexa:
“I am so excited and honored to be named the new face of Prell — especially following in the footsteps of my mother, who was a Prell girl.”
The shampoo, originally introduced by Proctor & Gamble featured Christie Brinkley in 1986 (the sound is a bit wonky but what do you expect from something almost 25 years old):
Alexa’s rep says:
“This is Alexa’s first ad campaign. It is for print and TV for spring and summer. We will also shoot a fall campaign.”
