Lily Allen Thinks Twitter Is Bad. But Not Really

Lily Allen stopped Twittering in September, but not really:
“I sort of ‘tweet’ here and there, I don’t do it as obsessively as I used to. It is very addictive and quite dangerous. I just think there comes a time when… I’m sort of reading people’s ‘tweets’ when they’re watching their sons playing football on a Saturday afternoon, I’m like, ‘Why don’t you just watch your son playing football? Instead of telling the world about it?’ I think it can turn you into a sort of self obsessive (person). Why did you think that people would want to know everything that you’re doing?
No, not everything. Just the really juicy dirty stuff. But not really. She thinks Twittering is a way of communicating but not really (confused yet?):
“It’s quite… it’s got negative connotations, I think. But saying that, it can be quite fun. It’s a way of communicating with other people – but it’s also not, because you’re not really communicating with them, you’re just typing some words and you feel like language is getting lost.”
Lily just needs to come to terms with the fact she’s a Twitter addict. There are worse things in the world. But not really.
These pictures are from a photo shoot for the Vintage at Goodwood festival where she is looking all ladylike. But not really.
