Justin Timberlake & Cameron Diaz Film ‘Bad Teacher’

Cameron Diaz can be seen looking lovely and leggy downtown in Los Angeles on the set of her film Bad Teacher that also stars former lover Justin Timberlake and Jason Segel (he isn’t also her former lover, he he he.  Well at least that I know of although she would be one. lucky. girl.  Have you seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall?  Mother Nature was uber generous to him).

Justin and Jason can also be seen filming their scenes (some of the pictures are a bit on the blurry side), but none of Justin and Cameron filming together.  At least not yet. You know that has to be coming.  At least we can hope so, right?

Gerard Butler Trains Your Dragon

But Gerard Butler has some help from Craig Ferguson and America Ferrera who are at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘How To Train Your Dragon‘ a 3D animated movie about:

A hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely owner of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed

The film also features the voice of Jonah Hill (at the premiere), and Kristen Wiig (SNL fame).  At the premiere:

  • T.J. Miller
  • Jay Baruchel
  • Bonnie Arnold
  • Fred Willard
  • Kim Raver
  • Eden Sher
  • Wayne Brady
  • Terri Seymour
  • Logan Miller
  • Eden Sher
  • Tori Spelling
  • Dean McDermott

Methinks Gerard Butler’s Dragon is hardly trainable.  Just saying.

My Interview With Nikki Yanofsky

This was my first telephone interview and I was over the top excited because it was with Nikki Yanofsky.  For those of you living under a rock, Nikki is the singer behind the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics’ theme song I Believe (she also sang the Canadian National Anthem at the opening ceremonies).  I Believe reached TRIPLE PLATINUM and was top of iTunes Canada forever!

But there is so much more to Nikki than just that:  she is a child prodigy.  She has performed internationally at jazz festivals and major concert venues alongside such notables as:  Wyclef Jean, Celine Dion, Marvin Hamlisch and The Count Basie Orchestra.

She sang Ella Fitzgerald’s classic ‘Airmail Special’ for Verve’s We All Love Ella:  Celebrating the Frist Lady of Song.  She recorded Gotta Go My Own Way in English and French for High School Musical 2 and in September of 2008 she released her first full-length album (a live CD/DVD concert package) entitled ‘Ella Of Thee I Swing’.

She will be opening up the Toronto Jazz Festival on June 25th!!  She is 16 years old people!! She has worked with some of the greatest musicians:  Herbie Hancock, Will.i.am, as well as collaborating with Phil Ramone, Jesse Harris, Ron Sexsmith and Feist on her new album which will be in stores in Canada on April 22 and May 5 in the United States  entitled Nikki.  (update:  the album was released in Canada on April 20 and will be released in the U.S. May 4)

She is such an incredible young lady with an old soul yet still a teenager, but the teenager parents dream about.  Watch this video to see just how incredible she is. This girl is going to be a huge star!

Kelly Osbourne Shops With Her Parents

Imagine if you will, going about your typical weekend routine of shopping, running errands, etc. and who do you see in the parking lot but Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne (and her cute adorable little dog). How crazy would that be, right?  The reactions of the people in the background are priceless.  :)

Every time I see Ozzy I think of him saying Kelly‘s name on their reality show ‘Kell-ay…Kell-ay’.  It cracks me up.

The Osbournes are at Cross Creek Malibu in Los Angeles.

The 24th Annual Genesis Awards

Animal lovers unite! The 24th Annual Genesis Awards were held in Beverly Hills last night which honours  the major news and entertainment media for producing outstanding works which raise public understanding of animal issues.

This year, Melanie Griffith’s mother, Tippi Hedren received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her tireless dedication with The Roar Foundation’s Shambala Preserve an 80-acre wildlife habitat that she founded in 1983. Their mission:

To educate the public about exotic animals and to advocate for legislation to protect them.  To provide sanctuary for exotic animals who have suffered from gross mistreatment and neglect so they can regain their physical and mental health and live out their lives in dignity.

Lots of celebrities attending the event including my very favourite Bachelor EVER Matt Grant who I must say looks better and better everytime I see pictures of him.  Who thought that was even possible?

Also attending:

  • Kristen Bell
  • Amanda Righetti
  • John Lovitz
