My husband is still asleep and I’m trying not to oink too loudly and wake him as I look at these pictures of McDreamy himself Patrick Dempsey as he meets and greets fans and prepares for the Miami Grand Prix in Homestead, Florida yesterday.  He even plays guitar! Who knew?

Patrick told the press of his passion for race car driving:

“I really love it. I love the challenge. It’s constantly pushing me to get better and better physically, mentally, and the camaraderie. It’s great to be around the drivers.”

Patrick is totally better physically as he gets older.  This man could speak to me in Klingon and I would just smile and nod my head like an idiot.

Ian Somerhalder , Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley pose at the 27th Annual Paleyfest held yesterday at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles.

The actors sat on the panel to answer questions along with executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec and Williamson told the audience you can expect to have between 7 and 9 cliffhangers in the final episode of The Vampire Diaries this season!

Do you watch The Vampire Diaries?  I really need to start watching it.  I hear nothing but good stuff about it.

Lily Allen performed last night at the Manchester Evening News Arena where she apparently smoked on stage despite the U.K. having a ban on that and her having a chest infection:

“I’ve got a bout of bronchitis so sorry if my singing’s a bit s**t. Not that it’s any good anyway.”

Last year she received a fine in Paris for smoking on stage and in December she was the centre of an investigation for lighting up on stage in the U.K.

Both Britain and France outlawed smoking in public places in 2007.  I’m not sure if that means public venues like arenas or if it includes out on the street.  Although I’ve never been to Paris I hear there are a lot of smokers and I find it hard to believe no one walking on the street lights up a cigarette.

Kind of crazy though to be smoking when you have bronchitis.  Not claiming to be a doctor or anything but I’m pretty certain breathing helps sustain life.
