Dennis Hopper Dead At 74

Hollywood legend, Dennis Hopper died at the age of 74 Saturday morning after a very lengthy battle with cancer. His manager Sam Maydew released the following statement:
“Dennis Hopper died this morning at 8:15 am (15:15 pm GMT) from complications of metastasized prostate cancer. He died at home in Venice surrounded by family and friends.”
Hopper is probably best remembered for his role in Easy Rider which he also directed. His costar from the film Peter Fonda:
“Dennis introduced me to the world of Pop Art and ‘lost’ films. We rode the highways of America and changed the way movies were made in Hollywood. I was blessed by his passion and friendship.”
Hopper made news in January when he filed for divorce from his latest (and 5th) wife Victoria Duffy citing irreconcilable differences. It is rumoured that his estate will be embroiled in legal proceedings now that he is gone. He leaves behind four children including their daughter together Galen.
