A dark-haired Denise Richards (me likey) holds on to a cute adorable puppy.  She was joined by Lisa Rinna and Amy Smart as  they all lent their celebrity to the Best Friends Los Angeles Spring Super Adoption Festival at Westchester Park in Los Angeles where a lot of very cute dogs were on display.

Is it me or does there seem to be a lot more of these adoption type drives happening all around? Would you find it difficult to walk away from one of these events without a pup?

Wow, to wake up to this is quite shocking.  Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack has been found dead according to TMZ.

Five months earlier his wife Brittany Murphy died in the bathroom of the couple’s master bedroom in the same Hollywood Hills home.  At that time Brittany’s mother found her collapsed.

Brittany’s mother also found Simon unconscious in the master bedroom and called 911.  Paramedics arrived and tried to resuscitate him but to no avail.  It is believed he died from heart failure but that is not conclusive.

A death investigation is underway.  Is this shocking or what?

DWTS and The Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka and his fiancee Vienna Girardi are doing a very good deed by helping at the Habitat For Humanity San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valleys Women Empowerment build assisted by ‘The Bachelor Gives Back‘ so I would feel very wrong to be sarcastic or snarky.  Very wrong.

And if this isn’t enough Jake and Vienna for you, you will get to see them dance together at the Dancing With The Stars‘ finale. She told E!’s Marc Malkin:

“Jake and I will be on the finale dancing together!”. “Dancing With the Stars came to us about three weeks ago and asked us if I’d be interested in dancing.”

“I’m very nervous,” Girardi admitted. “Jake’s been telling everyone that I’m a really good dancer, but I’m really not. The expectations are too high for me.”

And of course they will be dancing to Jeffrey Osborne ‘s ’80s hit ”On the Wings of Love.

Hold on to your panties ladies and gentlemen, because Ryan Gosling is back home from his trip to Cannes (seen here at LAX)  where his film Blue Valentine receive an almost 10 minute standing ovation which is unheard of from the hard-to-please French audience.

According to IMDB the film:

The film centers on a contempo married couple, charting their evolution over a span of years by cross-cutting between time periods

The film also stars Michelle Williams and is set to open in theatres December 26 (in Australia) and December 31 in the USA with a limited release.

I’ve never seen The Notebook.  Don’t hate.  I just know it will make me sob like a PMS’d biotch so I avoid it. I prefer to be in my happy place.
