Beyonce has launched a Valentine’s Day clothing line for C&A. According to WENN:

The former Destiny’s Child star is fronting the store’s Dereon by Beyonce range, based on her personal wardrobe.
It includes classic evening gowns, glamorous black dresses, and smart daywear, and hit C&A stores in Brazil to coincide with the country’s Valentine’s Day on June 12.

I didn’t know Valentine’s Day was on June 12 in Brazil! That explains why we are hearing about this now.  See how brilliant I am able to put the pieces of a puzzle together?

Liv Tyler looks sophisticated and elegant on the cover of Tatler Magazine where she says she isn’t into casual flings:

“I fall in love once in a blue moon.  I wouldn’t be capable of having a casual fling. I’m far too sensitive, and I just wouldn’t have any pleasure from it.”

In the past she has spoken about how splitting from her husband Royston made her physically ill:

There’s nothing worse than heartache, being lovesick. It’s like there’s a physical sickness. You go through a couple of weeks where you think, ‘Oh, I’m OK, I feel better,’ and then suddenly, out of nowhere, it hits you again.

“The hardest part is when they leave. It also brings up a lot of issues – you might feel like a failure, or like there is something wrong with you. You can’t run away from yourself – you kind of have to just deal with it.”

TV newsman Ted Koppel’s son 40 year old Andrew was found dead after a night of binge drinking.  According to the New York Post Andrew was declared dead at approximately 1:30 a.m. yesterday morning after drinking with Russell Wimberly a 32 year old waiter he made 12 hours earlier at Hell’s Kitchen bar.

Belinda Caban, 53 who lives at the apartment said Andrew:

“was just really messed up when he came in. He was very drunk,”

She went on to say:

“I didn’t understand anything [Koppel] said. We took him to the bedroom and laid him down to rest.”

It was a couple of hours after that, that they went in to check on him and found he had urinated and defecated in the bed and it appeared he wasn’t breathing.  They then called 911:

“His complexion wasn’t right. It was pale. I said to call the police,” Caban said. “When the ambulance came, they said he was dead.”

Koppel began his bender at about 12 noon and did not eat all day according to Wimberly who also said Koppel:

“wasn’t feeling good. I told him to lay down and turn the light off. He was snoring really loud. I thought he was out,”

Koppel lived with his girlfriend and their baby daughter.  There was no statement from the family and an investigation continues.  No one has been charged in the incident.

Our sincere thoughts and prayers to the Koppel family on this horrible and very sad tragedy.

Sometimes you read something and you really go why? Not because it’s your place to judge (because it’s really between them) but it’s more out of curiosity.  After 40 years of marriage, Tipper and Al Gore are splitting up! That’s like two life sentences, he he he.

The Gores released a statement that read:

“a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration”

They’ve spent 40 years together and raised 4 children together and I have to wonder how painful and difficult this must be! That’s a lot of togetherness and now it is no more.

I bet Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are pissed the Gores stole their thunder

The very beautiful Mariska Hargitay attended the Haley & Jason Binn’s Memorial Day party in the Hamptons where Mariska’s cover on Hamptons Magazine was also celebrated.

Mariska is one star who gives back in a big way.  She started The Joyful Heart Foundation when she started receiving letters from women telling her their own stories of violence and abuse:

Joyful Heart was my way of dealing with what we did on the show. I felt like I really had something to offer. Olivia is a lioness and you feel safe with her, which is why the people who wrote me the letters felt safe talking to me, “Now that the issues were out there on television, it became acceptable to talk and start a dialogue about.”

Having a child only heightened things for her in life:

“It completely changed everything. I think it changed all my work,” she says. “You understand things in a deeper way when you become a parent. Someone once said to me, ‘When you’re a person, your heart is on the inside. When you become a mother, your heart is on the outside and you feel everything deeper.’” Hargitay knows this sounds trite. She doesn’t care. “I experienced all of those clichéd things that everyone always tells you about when you become a parent,”

This is one star who is not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside.  Also attending the function:
