Lilith Fair kicked off in Calgary last night where founder Sarah McLachlan performed along with Sheryl Crow, Erykah Badu, Jennifer Nettles, and Kristian Bush. Sheryl’s son Wyatt was also on hand to give mommy his support. Because Sarah is the founder I wanted to feature her picture as the main one, but when it comes to kids and puppies they win out over grown-ups. That picture is too cute!

The original festival took place in the summers of 1997 to 1999.  During that time the tour raised more than $10 million for women’s charities in North America. It began as a result of Sarah’s frustration with radio stations not featuring two female artists in a row.  Can you effing believe that? Weree we allowed to vote back then?  If you think about it a majority of the great music you listen to nowadays is estrogen-infused. Holla bitches. We’re taking over the world. Ha!

Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz attended an autograph signing session at Wawa’s Welcome America at Penns Landing in Philadelphia for their movie The Last Airbender.

M. Night Shyamalan’s movie opens next week and is described as:

The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations

Canada’s rock group Rush received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson being on hand to celebrate their star.  Neil Pert was not at the celebration and I’m not sure why. This marks star number 2,412 for the walk of fame.

Friend Billy Corgan was on hand to present the boys with their honour.  Rush goes on tour July 29 throughout the U.S. and Canada.  To view tour dates and venues you can visit their official website here.

Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell and A.J Mclean of the Backstreet Boys perform on stage the during their US tour at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal CityWalk, California.  I’m really quite disappointed there are only 12 pictures but I suppose that’s better than just one or none right.

Some dude is in front of the stage in a box of some type (operating what looks like a keyboard and cymbals) with what looks like a bedazzled eye patch a la Phantom of the Opera like. It seems like an odd place for him to be.  Is he there at all the concerts?

Prince Harry is in New York this weekend where yesterday he threw out the first pitch at the NY Mets vs Minnesota Twins baseball game held at Citi Field to Rod Barajas.

Then today he was part of the 8th Annual Achilles Hope and Possibility run in Central Park.  Heather Mills was too, but I like my readers too much to include those pictures.  Oh meow.
