The Glastonbury Music Festival took place over the weekend and Shakira performed in a very awkward position but good for her.  Her core muscles are probably very  toned as a result.  I’m going to type my posts like that and see how it goes.  How much worse could they get? He he he.

Also performing were Snoop Dogg (he seems like a really cool guy that I would love to hang with provided he didn’t smoke around me), Florence and the Machine and Vampire Weekend.

Some celebrities spotted taking in the scene were Kelly Osbourne, Luke Worrall, Lily Allen, Emma Watson, Sienna Miller, and Pixie Geldof .

Farrah Fawcett was best known as her role of Jill Munroe on Charlie’s Angels but she too also died a year ago today after a courageous battle with cancer.

The Texan beauty went on to do many movies for television including The Burning Bed which I thought she was incredible in. She also appeared on Ally McBeal and Spin City in her time not to mention her endorsement deals.

A year later this Angel is probably looking down on her son Redmond with pride as former love (and father to Redmond) told Meredith Viera yesterday:

“He was thunderstruck to lose her “He turned his life around immediately “I’ve never seen such focus and success,”

“He’s doing extremely well. I say that with pride. I’m extremely relieved and gratified with his progress in the last year. He’s living in a sober living situation in Pasadena, and he’s beautiful, and his mother would be so proud of him.

Rest in Peace Farrah.

If you aren’t aware, Lindsay is going to be starring in a movie about former porn legend Linda Lovelace.  Linda was known to have very good oral skills.  And I’m not talking communication.  All kidding aside, her story is a sad one.

Lindsay Lohan is leaving Voyeur nightclub.  They just keep coming don’t they? I can’t make this stuff up.

Jason Bateman along with 2000 other iPhone loving people (with good taste) lined up at the Grove on Wednesday to get their paws on the new iPhone 4.

Not only did the Apple store provide complimentary cold water bottles (very nice touch, indeed) they provided an escort for Jason Bateman to the front of the line.

Although he was met with lots of boos and hisses, can you imagine if he was cutting in the line at the Twilight premiere? We’d be writing his obituary.

If you were Jason Bateman would you have happily been escorted into the store, or would you have stayed in the lineup?  Bitches I would have been singing na na na na na as I skipped to the front.  It’s an iPhone!!!!! Okay.  I’m kidding

I would still do Jason.  And then I’d steal his iPhone.

It is still shocking to believe Michael Jackson is dead even one year later.  It’s one of those deaths (or life events) that you remember where you were when you heard the news.  Do you remember where you were? And then you watched the news and searched the web for hours reading and finding anything and everything you could on him and the circumstances surrounding him. Once it was confirmed that he had died it seemed so surreal and still does.

He’s one of those celebrities that were not appreciated during his life (I’m guilty on that account) but now that he is dead you realize just how incredible his contribution was to pop music and music in general.  Especially music videos.

He was taken for granted, laughed at, mocked and yet he was (what appears to be) one of the purest, kindest souls around.  His judgment (with regards to hanging around with children so much) perhaps wasn’t well thought out, but I really don’t believe he was inappropriate.  Just reliving his lost childhood.  Basking in the innocence that he soon forgot in his adult world of music, making records and making money.

One has to wonder his need for so much cosmetic surgery.  But that alone proves he was surrounded by people who did not put his best interests forward.  I can’t help but think a doctor with integrity would refuse him so many surgeries. And we won’t even get into the reason he died and the people surrounding him that were responsible.

In time we hopefully will learn more about the man, the father Michael Jackson was from his kids when they are ready to talk (I’m talking a couple of decades from now). And I sincerely hope that he has found the peace and acceptance that seemed to elude him in his waking life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his children and family today.  RIP, Michael Jackson.

Twilight fans everywhere probably pee’d themselves with delight as Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast of Twilight Saga:  Eclipse attended last night’s world premiere in Los Angeles.

There is a picture of Robert Pattinson looking at Kristen Stewart when they are standing in front of the fans and if that isn’t love in his eyes I don’t know what is.  It’s at least affection.  Affection in a ‘I want to suck your neck’ kind of vampirey way.

Although Eclipse is just being released, there’s already talk about Breaking Dawn and how you can expect lots of skin as Robert and Kristen’s characters get down to bidness.  Yes there will be sex.  Will it be pornographic? That remains to be seen. According to screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg:

The relationship [between Pattinson's Edward and Stewart's Bella] does go all the way in the book, so in the movie, it will as well. You are going to see more skin in Breaking Dawn than you did in the other films.”

“Will it be pornographic? – That, I do not know,” Rosenberg said with a laugh. “I don’t know if it has to be R-rated, but it has to be what the book is, which means more skin. … I will definitely be writing more skin.”

Holla bitches! It’s going to be a great movie.
